The Wilmington (NC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is accepting scholarship applications for area high school seniors, who meet specific eligibility requirements. Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:
(proof of citizenship may be required).
Complete application packets are due by May 18, 2022, and scholarship winners will be notified by June 1, 2022.
This application process is planned and facilitated by the Scholarship Committee of the Wilmington (NC) Alumnae Chapter as an activity for the 2021-2022 sorority year.

This is a GREAT time to get your daughter/granddaughter/niece involved in one of 2 amazing programs! Both programs are currently VIRTUAL! There is no charge to participate. Academy is open to young ladies ages 11 - 14. While GEMS is open to young ladies in grades 9 thru 12! The curriculum changes annually. Come out and begin your journey to the BEST YOU!
Delta GEMS meets every 1st Saturday beginning @ 10am.
Delta Academy meets every 2nd Saturday beginning @ 2pm. You don't want to miss a moment. ********************AN APPLICATION IS REQUIRED.

The Delta GEMS program offers a road map for college and career planning through activities that provide opportunities for self-reflection and individual growth. This program is program of the national organization's 5-Programmatic Thrust, Educational Development. It is intended for girls ages 14-18. Through specific tasks, and the programs objectives of
Created in 1996 for 11-14 year old girls to prepare young girls for full participation as leaders in the world to come. Our program varies from year to year dependent upon the needs of the program youth. Some activities implemented, include computer training, self-esteem and etiquette workshops, field trips for science experiences and for college exposure, and special outings to cultural events, fancy dinners, museums, plays, and concerts. The program facilitators aim to enrich and enhance the education that our young teens receive in public schools across the nation.
